The second part of the trilogy "Cellar and Secrets" is dedicated to the "inner cellar" and provides deep insight into personal traumas. Traumas leave visible and invisible traces in the (body) memory. Traces of what has been experienced consciously and unconsciously follow the affected individuals into the present day. They inscribe themselves in the soul as pieces of puzzle, which seek their way out of the "inner cellar" as an uncontrolled flood of images. Each traumatized individual develops their own methods to close the doors to their personal cellar − methods that are often hidden from themselves as well as from outsiders. The doors are opened by unforeseeable events: Voices that appear from the past and whisper to them what is long forgotten and unknown; situations and images that emerge from nowhere; "uninvited guests" who kick down this door without warning.

The current performance is based on video interviews with affected individuals and experts: refugees, war victims, victims of domestic violence, child abuse or sexual abuse as well as therapists and consultants.

In "Cellar and Secrets − INSIGHTS" 4 dancers translate these events and situations in correspondence with video and audio material and deal with the question of how these secrets can be integrated into a livable reality. In addition to the performance, an auditory and visual installation will delve deeper into the theme. The first part of the trilogy "Cellar and Secrets" (premiere December 2018) played with the absurdity of the hidden and brought situations from the dark cellar to light. The third part of the trilogy is expected to appear in September 2020.
