Final Performance M.A.D.E. Program September 3, 2023, 8 p.m.

Completion of the M.A.D.E. Program

Thirteen dancers, seven with and six without disabilities, have completed the M.A.D.E. programme, a professional artistic training programme in the field of mixed-abled dance. For three years they were trained as professional dancers - now they present their final performances on the theme "offen & closed" to the public and a jury of experts, using the dance mediating, choreographic, artistic and improvisational tools they have learned.
We cordially invite you to two dance evenings on 2 and 3 September at 8 pm each with the creative developments of a new, diversely thinking generation of young choreographers!

Professional Exchange Day

On 3 September 2023, the UNIque@dance project and Dr. Gustavo Fijalkow also invite you to a public day of professional exchange. After the welcome at 10 am on the stage of the Alte Feuerwache, two dance trainings are on the programme from 10:45 am to 12:15 pm: a mixed-abled ballet and a contemporary dance training. Have you ever danced in a mixed-abled context? Did you think ballet wasn't for you or that contemporary dance was too specialised? Come and join in - entry is free. Be there and shape the future of dance with us!

Afterwards, there will be a round table discussion from 1:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. on the following question: "From utopia to reality - people with disabilities should be able to study dance - but how?" Representatives from universities and politics as well as dancers with and without a degree are invited to have their say in a moderated discussion.

The discussion session will be translated into German Sign Language (DGS).

Participation in all events is free of charge. We look forward to receiving your registration in advance by e-mail to hanna.behr@din-a13.de. We also accept registrations at short notice, spontaneous attendance is possible.
