In 2016 she co-founded Sareyyet Ramallah Dance Summer School, which runs on a yearly basis. In 2014 she won the third prize of the Young Artist of the Year Award (YAYA) organized by A.M. Qattan Foundation in Palestine for her installation A Fidayee Son in Moscow and in 2016 she won the dance prize of Palest’In and Out Festival in Paris for the duet La Même. She is currently an Associate Artist at Dance Base in Edinburgh, UK.

Farah Saleh will share her ongoing artistic research on the Archive of Gestures with MADE participants. Her workshop will investigate how individuals can contribute to change through exploring social and political memories, using the body as archive. She will experiment with ways of archiving personal and alternative narratives, which are left out of official archives, through reenacting, transforming and deforming the gestures present in these narratives in different creative ways. During the workshop, Farah will invite the participants to dig into their unique narratives, gestures and embodied knowledge through a series of gentle exercises, group tasks and smaller group work. Farah and the participants will then work together to develop these individual daily gestures into a collective movement language that can be used to express and perform together through a digital platform.
